Responsibilities:

  • Engages in research, testing, and analysis of various automated biometric systems. Possesses a strong understanding of software development (DevOps, DevSecOps), reverse engineering (decompiling, disassembling, debugging), and vulnerability scanning/penetration testing applied to software, hardware, network components, security protocols, and cloud-supported technologies.
  • Demonstrates advanced proficiency with software reverse engineering tools (e.g. Ghidra, IDA Pro, Binary Ninja, RADARE2) and software and network analysis tools (Kali Linux-associated programs such as Wireshark, NMAP, OpenVAS, OllyDbg, JEB Decompiler, Apktool, dex2jar, Unicornscan, BloodHound, and Metasploit).
  • Demonstrates intermediate proficiency with compiled and interpreted programming languages ( e.g. C, C++, Java, Go, Python, JavaScript, .NET), computer architecture, CPU architecture (e.g. x86-64, ARM), Operating System architecture (e.g. Windows, Linux, Android), communication protocols (e.g RTP/RTSP, WebRTC, HTTPS Live Streaming), database management systems (e.g., Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Elasticsearch), virtualization technologies (e.g Docker, VirtualBox, VMware), and GPU acceleration (e.g. CUDA libraries).
  • Experienced in working with web services (RESTful and SOAP APIs), cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCS), and network infrastructure (e.g., routers, switches, web/database/mail/DNS/proxy servers, IDS/IPS, firewalls, DMZs). Understands multithreading, synchronization/locks, process isolation, virtual memory, exceptions/interrupts, CPU privileges, and kernel usage as they apply to software analysis. Understands the computational requirements for AI-based models applied to computer vision and big data analysis.


Requirements:

  • Experience using software reverse engineering frameworks Ghidra, IDA Pro, Binary Ninja, or RADARE2 for disassembly, debugging, decompiling, identifying obfuscation techniques, and revealing vulnerabilities.
  • Experience with using multiple software and network analysis tools within the Kali Linux OS such as Wireshark, NMAP, OpenVAS, OllyDbg, JEB Decompiler, Apktool, dex2jar, Unicornscan, BloodHound, and Metasploit to characterize device connectivity, as well as reveal and characterize vulnerabilities.
  • Experience using compiled and interpreted programming languages (e.g. C, C++, Java, Go, Python, JavaScript, .NET)
  • Experience incorporating database management systems (e.g., Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Elasticsearch), virtualization technologies (e.g Docker, VirtualBox, VMware), and GPU acceleration (e.g. CUDA libraries) for hardware/software platforms.
  • Experience in working with web services, Internet of Things (IoT) devices, cloud integrations, and their associated network infrastructure.
  • Experience with reverse engineering and software development to guide research and analysis of software, hardware, networks components, security protocols, and cloud-based services.


Clearance Required: TS/SCI w/ CI Poly

Minimum Education: Bachelor’s Degree

Minimum Years of Experience: 10 years relevant experience

Preferred:

  • Familiarity with DoDD 8570.01-M IAT II
  • Experience with C4ISR systems-specifically video surveillance platforms
  • Penetration Testing certifications: Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP) is desired but other penetration testing certifications would also be of value.

The base salary range for this position is $190,000-$205,000. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
