Role Title: Senior Radio Frequency (RF) Engineer

Role Description: The role is for a Senior RF Engineering for the provision of technical services within the skill sets listed. This RFQTS is for an established position in the Tactical Communications Network Battle Lab (TCNBL) within the LNIC. The Senior Radio Frequency (RF) Engineer is responsible to conduct ‘system of system’ and scale testing of the Tactical Communications Network (TCN) in order to inform capability decisions, support in-service capability and assist in the evaluation of candidate technologies.

The Senior RF Engineer will be expected to act in a technical hands-on role, with responsibility as the subject matter expert lead for analysing current in-service, as well as next generation TCN RF bearers and waveforms. It is a requirement of the Senior RF Engineer to provide detailed analyses and clear, concise reports to enable decision-makers to make informed choices based on data-driven insights. The Senior RF Engineer will be relied upon to effectively communicate complex technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring that all parties have a comprehensive understanding of the implications of the analysis and recommendations

Essential Requirements: Tertiary qualifications relevant to RF Engineering

Highly Desirable Requirements: Experience in producing technical documentation.

Desirable Requirements:

a.              Experience with software development.
b.              Experience with writing acceptance test procedures.
c.              Knowledge of deployable ADF command and control systems.
d.               Formal training in or has experience in the deployment and administration of large scale virtualised environments (ESXi).
e.              Experience with conducting data and configuration management, particularly within documentation; and software and hardware baselines.

Required Security Clearance Level: NV1. May be required to undergo a security clearance upgrade to NV2

Location: Symonston, ACT

Weekly Hours: 40 hours/week

Travel: Some interstate travel may be required to support project stakeholder acquisition and sustainment activities, working groups, as well as field trials or exercises. International travel may be required to support coalition Army engagement priorities and exercises.

Note: A CoA three (3) month period of probation.
