Amentum is seeking a Supply & Logistics Department Manager for a position on Kauai, HI. Supporting the Supply & Logistics Department. Under the general direction of the Program Manager, responsible for managing supply chain functions and logistics operations including hazardous materials (HAZMAT) and Fuel Farm operations. The position ensures safe, compliant, and efficient handling storage, distribution of fuels, lubricants, and hazardous materials in support of mission & critical operations.

Responsibilities

Specific assignments and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following areas:

  • Directs the functions of management, stocking, MILSTRIP procurement, inventory, requisitioning, transportation, receipt, storage, records, issues, packing, hazardous material control, warehousing, cataloging, technical research, reporting, property and tool control, disposal of property and material, food management, fuels management, billeting, and courier services.
  • Develop and manage relationships with government counterparts, stakeholders, and other contractor personnel.
  • Actively manage department budget and cost control measures.
  • Prepares and submits periodic reports and CDRLs in a timely manner.
  • Prepares and submits status reports and technical reports and briefs, as required, to Sr. Management and customers, in a timely manner.
  • Oversee the issuance and tracking of government-furnished and contractor acquired property.
  • Supervise and mentor Property Management Supervisor, Supply Support Supervisor and employees when supervisors are not available.
  • Monitors and reviews personnel performance and provides subordinates with counseling and guidance as required.
  • Manage employee relations department wide, set expectations, address performance issues, support positive team culture, and coordinate with HR on disciplinary actions or conflict resolution as needed.
  • Serve as the hiring manager: coordinate with HR to develop job postings, screen candidates, conduct interviews, support onboarding of logistics, HAZMAT and fuel farm staff.
  • Conduct annual performance evaluations for direct reports.
  • Develop and conduct training programs for employees within fuel handling and spill response, HAZMAT safety storage and emergency procedures and government property accountability and control procedures.
  • Support property audits by government and internal compliance teams,
  • Supervise daily logistics functions including receiving, inventory management, and property accountability systems (e.g. N-ERP, DLA, DPAS, MHE, Maximo)
  • Provides technical expertise at management meetings, planning, and scheduling meetings as required.
  • Participates in contract proposals, negotiations, and modifications as required.
  • Enforce company’s work and safety rules.
  • Develop, revise and update procedures for the Supply and Logistics section.
  • Performs other duties as required.

Additional Responsibilities

  • General office environment with site visits.
  • Lifting, pushing/pulling 1-10 lbs.
  • Work positions requirements: walking, standing, sitting.
  • Customer contact, extended workday, office laboratory

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or public Administration from an accredited college or university
    • Master’s Degree or higher in Business Administration or Public Administration from an accredited college or university may be substituted for 2 years of required experience.

Experience

  • Ten years of progressively responsible experience in a related field, 5 years of which are required at the same level of responsibility as this assignment.
  • Experience with employee supervision
  • Knowledge of military or federal logistics, fuel handling and environmental requirements, standards and policies/regulations.
  • Proficient in inventory/property tracking systems and logistics software.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • HAZWOPER certification and fuel handler credentials preferred.

Security Clearance


Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance. Applicants selected either must currently possess a Secret clearance or will be subject to a US Government Security Investigation and must meet eligibility requirements to obtain clearance prior to commencement of employment and maintain a security clearance for access to classified information or Closed/Restricted Areas throughout duration of employment.

Compensation & Benefits

HIRING SALARY RANGE: $93,329 - $97,016 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
