Amentum is seeking system engineering professionals with related education and/or experience to support systems and software development in support of the Submarine Launched Ballistic Missile program at Dahlgren, VA.

Job Description:

You will be part of our growing systems & software engineering team and contribute to our diverse skillsets across multiple contracts in support of our Centers of Excellence. We are looking for individuals to join our team atmosphere that are eager to make a difference by solving complex Digital Engineering challenges.

• Assist with coordination among functional groups in the areas of technical insight; planning information; project costs, assessments of current status to include resources; risk identification and mitigation strategies; and outstanding issues.

• Develop and maintain a project plan (via Excel), organize work breakdown structures (WBS) and collect/analyze project metrics.

• Analyze and develop & present status of all above activities to a wide range of audiences

Apply your skills to the latest DoD weapons and sensor systems, modernizing the Navy and contributing to mission success. Successful candidates must possess excellent communication skills and interact directly with customers and engineering personnel.  

This position will be primarily located at Dahlgren, VA. The degree of telecommuting availability varies with each position and customer.
 

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelors degree with 2 to 5 years of job-related experience

• Familiarity with PowerPoint, Excel, Jira, and Confluence is desired. Experience with Agile and Waterfall developmental methodologies is a preferred qualification.

• Communicate with clients and teammates in an effective manner to digest high level user requirements into manageable tasks

• Provide real-time support and analysis to clients

• Must be pro-active in problem resolution and be able to effectively communicate priorities, issues, and to give direction. M

• Candidates must maintain a valid Real ID driver’s license required for access to customer site and have access to reliable transportation (rideshare options such as Uber, Lyft etc. are not permitted) as this position requires occasional travel between local worksites during the week.

• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance (At a minimum, must be approved for an Interim Secret clearance in order to start)
