We are seeking a Telecommunications Technician to join our team of passionate individuals. In this role you will support challenging, mission-critical projects that make a direct impact on the nation’s security and intelligence mission.

As a Telecommunications Technician, you will analyze complex local and wide area network systems, including planning, designing, evaluating, and configuring operating systems and protocol suites for virtualized and containerized systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Resolve difficult interoperability problems to obtain operation across host, hypervisor, and guest nodes.
  • Load and configure cloud servers and vendor (e.g., Cisco, Juniper) or white box routers and switches.
  • Support the acquisition of hardware and software and subcontractor services.
  • Act as a technical project leader or provide work leadership to junior employees, as needed.


Requirements:

  • Experience with network planning for telecommunications switches
  • Experience with conducting integration and system level testing of telecommunications systems or platforms
  • Experience with Kubernetes
  • Experience with Cisco, Juniper or equivalent networking equipment
  • Experience with VMWare, QEMU, KVM, or Docker
  • Experience with Linux or OpenStack
  • Knowledge of telephony and telecommunication
  • Knowledge of networking services
  • Knowledge of software defined networking


Clearance Required:

  • Active TS/SCI with Poly


Minimum Education:

  • HS diploma or GED


Minimum Years of Experience:

  • 8 years of experience with providing technical support for the engineering and testing of complex software and hardware systems in the communication field


Preferred:

  • Cisco CCNA or equivalent preferred
  • RHCSA preferred

The base salary range for this position is $180K to $203K. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
