Purpose and Scope:

Responsible for Work Management and scheduling to include supervision of Planning/Scheduling personnel on the Kennedy Propellants and Life Support Services (KPLSS II) contract on Kennedy Space Center FL.

Essential Responsibilities:

1) Develop and maintain program level integrated work schedules designed to successfully manage program workflow requirements.

2) Review work order requirements and assist area managers in determining necessary resources for on time schedule completion.

3) Develop detailed schedules, material requirements lists and plans for approved projects.

4) Monitor schedule activity to ensure a smooth and controlled flow of resources timed to meet program requirements.

5) Troubleshoots and monitors potential scheduling problems, maintaining records such as reports on program accomplishments and open work related to upcoming mission milestone operations.

6) Responsible for supervising a small group of Planner/Schedulers providing work management representation and scheduling support to each area of the program.

7) Additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

Bachelors degree in related field and five years of job-related experience, or equivalent. Good communications and analytical skills; working knowledge of computer systems and integrated software application programs. Position may require the ability to pass and maintain a Security Clearance. Must be able to successfully pass a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI). US citizenship is required for restricted area access.

Preferred Qualifications:

Working knowledge of Maximo on NASA contracts.

Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands:

Most positions involve work typical of office environment with no unusual hazards, occasional lifting to 20 pounds, constant sitting with occasional use of computer terminal, constant use of sight abilities while reviewing documents, constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, and constant mental alertness. Must possess planning/organizing skills and be able to work under deadlines.
