Amentum is seeking an Administrative Assistant II - AUTEC Fire Emergency Services ​to join our team on Andros Island, Bahamas to support the Atlantic Undersea Test and Evaluation Center (AUTEC) mission. The selected candidate will provide administrative support for AUTEC Fire & Emergency Services with office and personnel management. Responsibilities will include budgeting, purchasing, personnel records, training and certification, hurricane coordination, and payroll. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Government Clearance. Note: U.S. Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Perform secretarial duties (filing, taking phone calls, scheduling appointments, making travel arrangements).

  • May be required to work independently on projects requiring research and preparation of briefing charts and other presentation materials.

  • Maintains work schedules for all personnel.

  • Research and catalog products. Create purchase requisitions for materials and services.  Coordinate vendor services and travel plans. 

  • DoD Firefighter Certification Program Administrator.

  • Responsible for completing all training requirements and fulfilling all self-aid/buddy aid responsibilities, participating in emergency response tasks and serving on safety committees and teams.

  • Conform to the Amentum Quality Policy and carry out job activities in compliance with applicable Amentum Quality System documents and customer contracts.

  • Read and understand his/her Quality Management and Customer Satisfaction responsibilities.

  • Read, understand and implement the general and specific operational, safety, quality and environmental requirements of all plans, procedures and policies pertaining to his/her job.

  • Act as Test Proctor as required by the DoD Firefighter Certification Program.

  • Supports Emergency Preparedness/Continuity of Operations Planning (COOP) to include hurricane operations. Perform tasks related to hurricane coordination and support of the Hurricane Operations Team.

  • Provides support for Medical Staff and arranges for Emergency Medical Evacuation (24/7).

  • Supports and trains other Administrative Assistants in all Groups/Divisions with business applications (Deltek, Metrixs, Treefrog, etc).

  • Perform as the department Training Coordinator.

  • Track and provide accurate, real-time financial data for Labor, Materials, and Other Direct Costs.  Routinely update an array of spreadsheets or applications to support management decision making processes.

  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Highschool diploma or equivalent.

  • 3 years of relevant work experience.

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Power Point is required.

  • Must possess excellent communications skills.

  • Must have ability to read, interpret and apply instructions, publications, and safety rules.

  • Must be able to reside in remote work location with limited medical facilities.

  • Valid U.S. passport and driver’s license are required.

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Government Clearance. Note: U.S. Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Background in accounting or bookkeeping preferred.
