Defines, designs and implements network communications and solution improvements. Proposes and implements system enhancements (software and hardware updates) that will improve the performance and reliability of the system. Manages the load configuration of a central data communication processor and makes recommendations for purchase or upgrade of data networks. Coordinates terminal orders and cable installation, network system planning, upgrading, monitoring, testing and servicing. Approves action requests and specifies purchase requirement. Negotiates and places orders with common carriers.
 

Responsibility

Maintain data files and control procedures for a system of networked computers or for a single group of microcomputers linked to a host workstation, or mainframe. Work closely with business teams to understand business processes and translate those processes into application workflows. Must have an Active Top Secret/SCI US Government clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to maintain a Top Secret/SCI clearance.

  • Assist with implementation testing and projects
  • Research, diagnose, troubleshoot and identify solutions to resolve customer issues related to application use, design and configuration
  • Ensures that all accounts are created accurately and within a timely manner
  • Incident monitoring and reporting
  • Work with product vendor to resolve application issues as needed
  • Performs other duties as assigned

  • Experience gathering business requirements
  • Excellent oral/written communications skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment with multiple organizations
  • Knowledge in Microsoft windows and Office products
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Support senior system administrators in identifying and resolving issues within an IT organization's computer system
  • Establish user accounts, grant access to the organization's intranet, and manage file servers
  • Oversee IT administration activities
  • Troubleshoot issues with various windows and web application
  • Install and configure servers, manage user accounts
  • Assist the more experienced system administrators in identifying any problems that may occur in the computer system of an IT organization
  • Provide technical support and develop training for their staff on the proper use of applications
  • Conduct equipment inventory and update equipment list with inventory findings
  • Install and test software installs
  • Assist System administrators in other projects
  • Record keeping on IT equipment
  • Remove and replace cubical IT equipment in preparation of office remodifications
  • Computer builds
  • Ability to work in fast pace environment
  • Balance and prioritize workloads
  • Knowledge of Active Directory
Minimum Knowledge
  • Bachelor's Degree in MIS, Computer Science, Information Technology
  • 4+ years of relevant experience with Associates degree; 0-2 years of relevant experience with Bachelor's degree
