HAZMINCIN Supervisor
Amentum, a global leader in advanced engineering, technical, and professional services serving the US government, allies and critical infrastructure sectors, is seeking an HAZMINCIN (Hazardous Material Minimization Center) Supervisor to support a government contract based on the island of Diego Garcia.
PURPOSE / SCOPE
The Hazardous Material Minimization Center - HAZMINCIN Supervisor is responsible for supervising the Hazardous Material Minimization Center operations, managing HAZMAT control and management to ensure successful performance and compliance with Performance Work Statement (PWS), Program, USG, and international requirements and guidelines.
- Manage staff and resources.
- Develop and maintain policies for the success operation of the Hazardous Material Minimization Center to support the initiatives and directives of the customer.
- Ensure compliance with standard management practices including but not limited to monitoring, records keeping, report preparation, training, inspections, data reporting, etc. Develop procedures to meet new and changing regulations.
- Oversee the tracking and reporting for Program and Corporate as required.
- Other duties as assigned
The HAZMINCIN Manager will be available within 30 minutes to meet with Government personnel and / or Program leadership as required 24 hours/day, 7 days/week in this role.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least five (5) years of experience in operations of a HAZMAT / HAZMIN facility; HAZWOPER experience
- Access to N-ERP with one year of N-ERP experience minimum
- Three years’ experience in a supervisory role in an austere OCONUS environment with a multi-national workforce
- Must be familiar with current global, US, Program and PWS requirements
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to obtain and maintain a US passport and driver's license throughout employment in this role
- Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization
- Ability to successfully pass CENTCOM medical requirements and maintain requirements for duration of deployment
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance
WORK ENVIRONMENT, PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Able to stand for long periods of time such as eight (8) to ten (10) hours, bend, kneel, and reach to store/retrieve supplies
- Able to lift, carry, and push supplies and boxes up to 50 pounds
- Living and working conditions at the assignment location could be remote and uncomfortable
- Long hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditions
- May also work in a typical office environment
