The Heavy Wheel Motor Vehicle Field Service Representative (FSR) provides on-site technical support and advice to assigned customers.

Principal Accountabilities

(Typical duties include the following, although specific duties vary by assignment or contract)

  • Provide technical guidance and advice to the customer.
  • Present a positive image of oneself and the company’s services.
  • Work effectively with differing customers and cultures.
  • Maintain a safe work environment and ensure compliance with safety objectives and policies.
  • Provide inspection support and perform repairs, sustainment, retrofits, and modifications to multiple platform vehicles.
  • Conduct technical analysis of vehicle implementations, modifications, and enhancements.
  • Troubleshoot technical problems and issues and determine technical solutions.
  • Act as a local on-site representative to the customer's organization.
  • Document and submit company expense reports and time cards
  • Perform other qualified duties as assigned

Knowledge & Skills

  • Must have knowledge of database software, spreadsheet software, presentation software, and word processing software
  • Knowledgeable of U.S. Military vehicle maintenance management pubs and guidelines.
  • Ability to interpret and use all types of engineering drawings, schematics, diagrams, and specification sheets
  • Ability to use all types of power tools, lifting devices, carrying or support equipment, including safe use of slings and chains
  • Familiar with the use and operation of TMDE (Test, Measurement and Diagnostic Equipment)
  • Must be able to function with minimal supervision
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a US passport.
  • Ability to obtain a secret security clearance.

Experience & Education

  • High school diploma or GED required.  Bachelor’s degree, preferred. 
  • Class A or B CDL preferred
  • Four (4) years certified vehicle maintenance required.
  • ASE level certification in vehicular and component level fault diagnostics and maintenance or military equivalent.
  • Prior instructional experience delivering technical training in fault diagnostics and maintenance/repair.

Physical Requirements/Working Environment

  • Must be willing and able to work in extreme temperatures.
  • Capability to lift 55 lbs without assistance.
  • Must be able to meet medical and physical fitness requirements to enter into and maintain deployment in accordance with customer requirements.
  • Live and work in an austere environment in an active combat zone, most likely under U.S. government control

Travel

  • Able to travel domestically and internationally
  • Relocate to different locations within the AOR on short notice to support the assignment.
