Amentum is seeking a Locksmith at Creech AFB to Installs, repairs, rebuilds, and services mechanical or electrical locking devices by performing the following duties.
Essential Responsibilities:
Inspects, repairs and certifies GSA containers and vaults
Inspects and repairs high security locks such as: LKM7000, KABA Mas X-09/X-10
Disassembles locks such as padlocks, safe locks and door locks, and repairs or replaces worn tumblers, springs, and other parts.
Inserts new or repaired tumblers into lock to change the combination.
Cuts new or duplicate keys.
Moves lock-pick in cylinders to open door locks without keys.
Opens safe locks by drilling.
Keeps records of locks and keys.
Complete projects from initial layout to final assembly or installation to include basic structural framework.
Repairs door screens; replaces or repairs window locks and operators.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals; outside weather conditions; extreme cold; extreme heat; risk and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The employee is frequently required to walk use hands to finger, handle, or feel reach with hands and arms: talk or hear and taste or smell. Requires climbing on ladders, scaffolding, and platforms: standing, bending, and working in cramped areas: lifting and carrying tools and equipment which occasionally may weigh over 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
