Oracle Database Administrator to join our team of passionate individuals in
Hanover, MD. In this role you will support challenging, mission-critical projects that make a direct impact on the Nation’s security and intelligence mission.
Your Impact: Our contract supports more than 12 efforts with varying levels of hardware and software development requirements. Our projects are focused on front end equipment configuration/maintenance, back-end repositories, front end dashboards, as well as everything in between for the full data processing thread. Our teams can range from one to two developers to a team of 12. All of our teams work right alongside our customer to discuss requirements, identify solutions, and choose the way forward for implementation. As part of an engineering office, our customer and our workforce look and plan for future expectations- continuously trying to stay ahead of the next challenge
The team that this position supports is a total of nine personnel, including the candidate. This team is responsible for a large enterprise knowledge base application, with an Oracle database supporting it. The team works together to ensure application requirements are met from both a software development aspect, but working with the database administrator for integration requirements.
Maintains the integrity, security, and availability of multiple database(s). Duties include disaster recovery, performance analysis and tuning, index maintenance, and monitoring of data. Administers, maintains, develops and implements policies and procedures for ensuring the security and integrity of the database. Evaluates and recommends available database management systems (DBMS) products, Performance database and software life-cycle activities to ensure highest level of system performance and availability and compliance with business requirements. Performs Oracle, SQL and SYBASE Database and application server administration. Organizes and formats data for efficient query and storage processes.

- Provides server administration with a variety of database products that include Oracle, SQL Server, and SYBASE
- Supports data modeling activities by way of prototype database implementations
- Directs the monitoring, administrating, and implementing performance on database systems as well as database performance organization, developing/changing database indices, redesigning database structure and reloading data into a database.
- Coordinates database architecture changes with database engineers
- Directs the installation of database management systems, databases, tables and views
- Directs the administration and use of current and emerging database tools, strategies and technologies.
Requirements: - 10 years of experience installing and maintaining Oracle
- 5 years of experience with Oracle Streams and distributed databases
- 5 years of experience installing and maintaining Oracle 10g
- 5 years of experience writing stored procedures
- 5 years of experience using PL/SQL
- 5 years developing database schemas
- 5 years of maintenance experience
- Experience with LINUX server operating system
- Experience with installing and maintaining Oracle 11g Oracle Enterprise Management
Clearance Required: - Must have active Top-Secret clearance with Poly
Minimum Education: - Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline, or an additional four (4) years of experience.

The base salary range for this position is
$180K - $260K. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
