Project Controls team obtains required schedule information by all disciplines/functions. Identifies restraints and effect on total project schedule. Coordinates with all departments to ensure understanding of total project schedule needs. Responsible for total integration of schedule activities. Identifies schedule considerations and problems resulting from inter-discipline or functional restraints and interfaces.

This position shall be performed under the day-to-day direction, control, and supervision of WTCC

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES/TASKS

  • Obtains required schedule information by all disciplines/functions.
  • Identifies restraints and effect on total project schedule. Coordinates with all departments to ensure understanding of total project schedule needs.
  • Responsible for total integration of schedule activities. Identifies schedule considerations and problems resulting from inter-discipline or functional restraints and interfaces.
  • Monitors and reports critical path and schedule performance of the total project.
  • Conducts project schedule analysis and studies of problem areas to determine criticality of schedule activities.
  • Recommends alternatives for schedule improvement to project team for discussion and/or decision.
  • Responsible for leading, when requested, the development and review of schedule recovery plans, including evaluation of additional resources/costs required to affect such plans.
  • Support the Waste Treatment Plant Nuclear Safety Quality Culture by emphasizing the values of safety and quality in the performance of work in order to protect self, others, and the environment

Education\Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, project management or related discipline from an accredited university and 6 years of professional experience, or in lieu of a degree, high school diploma or equivalent and 12 years of project controls experience on an engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) job or equivalent job.

Minimum Experience Includes:

  • Must have intermediate Microsoft Office skills in applications such as Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Proficient in Primavera P/6 scheduling software
  • Skilled in oral and written communication.

Preferred Experience:

  • Prior experience and execution of Project Controls work on federal government projects.
  • Previous Earned Value Management System experience.
  • Proficiency in PowerBI and Visio.
  • Prior experience with process engineering projects is desirable.
  • Flexibility to respond to urgent project requests and/or changing priorities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with people of varied backgrounds and objectives.
  • Previous Waste Treatment Project (WTP) experience.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

(EFNM) Exposed Field Non-Manual

Performs desk work, including writing, computer workstation processes, and telephone operation. Arranges for and/or performs presentations, oral reports, planning meetings, and other formal and informal contacts, requiring long periods of sitting. Oversees field activities through inspections, testing and equipment operations, which requires walking, standing, bending, and turning along with wearing of personal protective equipment. Occasional loading, transport, and unloading of tools and/or supplies specific to an activity.

This position is located at the Construction Site (22 miles north of Richland) and works a 4 x 10 schedule, M-Th, 6:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Must be authorized to work and remain in the United States without Amentum visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Must be able to complete and pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check which includes verification of employment and education.

Must be able to obtain a Department of Energy badge for access to the Hanford Site. (Even if teleworking, must still be able to comply with security requirements to obtain a badge.)

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

HIRING SALARY RANGE: $101,573.67 - $157,957.21 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
