Amentum is excited to offer a Senior Area Manager position within our Intelligence & Cyber Business Group. As a member of the program management team, the selected candidate will be called upon to work with corporate, client, and staff personnel to meet a rewarding customer mission. Our team is looking for charismatic leaders with strong communication and problem-solving skills.

This is a full-time position managing on-site operations for security monitor services.  The Sr. Area Manager will work a flexible schedule providing coverage to ensure oversight throughout shift operations from 4am to 4 pm. Availability for occasional weekend or after 4pm and on-call hours is required.

The Sr. Area Manager will:

  • Manage and lead the programs Security Monitor Area Managers

  • Report directly to the Deputy Program Manager and provide updates on entire SM operations across the program

  • Directly interact with SM customers to ensure support provided

  • Other Duties and Responsivities as directed by PM/DPM to ensure effective operations of SM AM team

  • Will lead by example and enforce compliance with customer and company work standards, policies, and procedures.

  • Will act as the on-site managerial authority responsible for making real time performance and operational decisions.

  • Oversee several sites within the WMA during core evening hours.

  • Establishes effective relationships and communications, both internally and externally, with persons of all backgrounds and organizational levels.

  • Accepts responsibility for his/her own performance and demonstrates the capability to assist other team members in reaching success within the organization.

  • Contributes to building a positive team environment.

  • Mentors, coaches, and trains new members of the team to meet or exceed program standards.

  • Tracks time sheets, facilitates clock in/out of employees and monitors attendance of assigned personnel.

  • Prepares accurate, detailed, and timely reports.

  • Enforces workplace security policies, procedures, and uniform standards.

  • Executes guard mount briefings with clarity and command of the subject matter.

  • Possesses and demonstrates a positive approach toward achieving outstanding customer satisfaction.

  • Constantly seeks ways to improve and promote quality with existing and/or future innovations.

  • Displays ability and willingness to make decisions and offer guidance in real time.

  • Exhibits sound and accurate judgment.

  • Focuses on resolving conflict, providing performance feedback, recommending, and executing corrective action.

  • Maintains confidentiality and protects PII information per company standards.

  • Enforce PPE and safety standards across entire program.

Qualifications

  • Must have an Active Top Secret US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to maintain a Top-Secret Clearance

  • Must possess High School diploma or equivalent.

  • Ability to walk and stand for a minimum of 8 hours per day, for prolonged periods of two or more hours at a time.

  • Possess the visual acuity to observe the activities of other individuals from a moderate distance.

  • Must successfully complete DCJS training within 90 days of hire.

  • Must possess excellent customer service skills.

  • Must possess excellent oral and written communications skills.

  • Must have scheduling experience, or other demonstrated experience coordinating employee resources to meet customer coverage requirements.

  • Must be comfortable using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and web-based tools.

  • Must have at least six months of supervisory experience.

  • Must have reliable transportation to visit external sites.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience managing off-site locations.

  • Three years of experience providing security to individuals or facilities

  • Experience and demonstrated application of adult learning principles in an introductory and/or remedial training environment.
