The Plant Management Site Support Services/Distribs (S3D) Electrical Utility Support Group (EUSG) operates within the Facility Management organization of WTCC and is responsible for developing electrical designs, engineering design change notices, ordering materials, and electrical equipment maintenance activities for the electrical system, including roughly 75 administrative and temporary buildings. Engineering activities can range from reconfiguring the 13.8kV distribution (13.8kv transformers and substations), to overseeing light and receptacle replacement. The EUSG performs design, inspections, field support to both electricians and subcontractors, and develops work documentation for maintenance, modification, and new construction.
This position shall be performed under the day-to-day direction, control and supervision of WTCC.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES/TASKS
Support the Waste Treatment Plant Nuclear Safety Quality Culture by emphasizing the values of safety and quality in the performance of work in order to protect self, others, and the environment

Provide technical direction and assistance to Electrical Superintendents and crafts.
Perform inspections of all electrical work in progress on a continual basis and complete final checkout of electrical installations to ensure quality and conformance to specifications and codes.
Perform takeoffs and initiate and track field purchased materials requisitions for electrical commodities.
Assist with the technical coordination of the lock-out and tag-out program activities.
Coordinate with vendor Technical Advisors as required. Coordinate with Engineering to resolve drawing issues
Inspect temporary power materials during the receiving process to insure they meet project standards and drawings.
Coordinate and inspect subcontractors in the electrical field.
This position shall be performed under the day-to-day direction, control, and supervision of WTCC.
REQUIREMENTS/SPECIFICATIONS
Education/Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or construction related discipline from an accredited university, and 10 years of progressive electrical experience.
In lieu of degree, 15 years of progressive electrical, construction related experience including but not limited to DOE experience, work package preparation, system turnover, temporary power design and installation, construction testing.
Preferred Experience:
Knowledge of NEC and NFPA 70E.
Knowledge in use of MicroStation, AutoCAD or other Computer aided Drafting software to edit electrical drawings.
Knowledge to perform arc-flash calculations.
Knowledge of electrical system preventive maintenance practices.
Knowledge of medium voltage distribution systems
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
(EFNM) Exposed Field Non-Manual- Performs desk work, including writing, computer workstation processes, and telephone operation. Arranges for and/or performs presentations, oral reports, planning meetings, and other formal and informal contacts, requiring long periods of sitting. Oversees field activities through inspections, testing and equipment operations, which requires walking, standing, bending, and turning along with wearing of personal protective equipment. Occasional loading, transport, and unloading of tools and/or supplies specific to an activity.
This position is located at the Construction Site (22 miles north of Richland) and works a 4 x 10 schedule, M-Th, 6:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Must be able to obtain a Department of Energy (DOE) badge for access to the Hanford site.
Must be able to work in the United States without Sponsorship
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
HIRING SALARY RANGE: $115,543.99 - $182,530.01 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
