Purpose and Scope:
The Amentum Internship Program is designed to engage college students in the practical application of a major administrative or technical study and to familiarize the intern with the interactions and requirements of the industry.
Essential Responsibilities:
1.Internships are designed to introduce and build essential, hands on skills that differ from those attained in the academic arena and help to enhance the transition from student to professional.
2.Interns are assigned duties that will provide a broad, well-rounded learning experience.
3.Individuals interning in Environmental Sciences (ES&H), Engineering, Construction Management, Computer Science and Management Information Systems.
4.Performs all other position related duties as assigned or requested.

Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
Education: College or university student with a minimum of 90 credits. Good oral and written communication skills; working knowledge of word-processing and integrated software applications; organizational skills and ability to perform detail-oriented work are required. Position may require the ability to pass and maintain a Security Clearance. Position may require travel. Strong Statistician Background preferred.
Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands:
Typical office environment with no unusual hazards, occasional lifting to 20 pounds, constant sitting while using the computer terminal, constant use of sight abilities while reviewing documents, constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, constant mental alertness, must possess planning/organizing skills, and must be able to work under deadlines. Position may require the ability to pass and maintain a Security Clearance. Position may require travel.
